Warmer — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Warmer is a word-guessing game for Android developed by MLB Solutions
("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and with whom it is shared.
No accounts
Warmer does not require an account and we never ask for your name, email address, or
contacts. All gameplay data (guesses, results, achievements, streaks, spark balance) is
stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. If you use the
optional leaderboards, a small amount of data is shared as described in "Leaderboards"
below, including your approximate location at country level.
Third-party services
The app uses the following Google services, which may collect data as described in the
Google Privacy Policy:
- Google AdMob — shows optional rewarded video ads (for example, to
earn sparks or unlock practice games). AdMob may process device identifiers (such as
the advertising ID), IP address, and coarse ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads.
In the European Economic Area and the UK you will be asked for consent before any ads
are shown, and you can choose non-personalized ads.
- Google Play Billing — processes optional in-app purchases of sparks.
Payment details are handled entirely by Google Play; we never see your payment
information.
- Firebase Remote Config — fetches app configuration values (such as
prices and feature flags). It uses a randomly generated installation identifier, not
tied to your identity.
- Firebase Analytics — may collect anonymous usage and diagnostic
events (such as puzzles played and crashes) to help us improve the game.
- Firebase Firestore, Firebase Authentication (anonymous) and Firebase App
Check — power the optional leaderboards. When leaderboards are enabled the app
signs in anonymously (a random identifier, not linked to your identity), verifies the
install with Google Play Integrity, and stores one leaderboard record for you in
Firestore. See "Leaderboards" below.
Leaderboards
Leaderboards are optional. While they are enabled, the app publishes a single record
for you to a ranking that is visible to all players. That record
contains:
- your weekly score ("Embers");
- your country, derived from your mobile network or SIM, or from your
device language — never from GPS or precise location;
- a name: your Google Play Games display name, or a randomly generated
handle (for example "Ember-4821") if you are not signed in to Play Games or you turn off
"Show my Play Games name";
- a random anonymous identifier and a technical Play Integrity token used only to keep
out fake or tampered clients.
The record is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore) and refreshed as you play. A
record that is not updated for about four months is deleted automatically.
You are in control in the app's Settings:
- Appear on leaderboards — turn this off and your record is deleted
and nothing further is submitted, anywhere, until you turn it back on;
- Show my Play Games name — turn this off to compete under the random
handle instead of your Play Games name.
Achievements and leaderboard scores are also shared with Google Play Games Services and
shown in your Play Games profile.
International data transfers
The services listed above are operated by Google and may process data outside your
country of residence, including in the United States. Where this involves transferring
personal data from the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, Google relies on
the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the transfer mechanism.
See the Google Privacy Policy and
Google's data processing terms for details.
Children
Warmer is a general-audience word game and does not knowingly collect personal
information from children.
Data deletion — Warmer
This section explains how to request deletion of any data associated with the
Warmer app (developer: MLB Solutions).
How to request deletion
- Uninstalling the app immediately and permanently deletes all data stored on your
device — gameplay history, guesses, achievements, streaks, and spark balance. No
further action is needed for this data; nothing is retained on any server.
- Leaderboard data can be deleted by you at any time, in the app:
Settings → turn off "Appear on leaderboards". This deletes your leaderboard record
and stops any further submission.
- For the limited third-party data described below (advertising/analytics identifiers,
or any leaderboard record you cannot remove yourself), email
lstamenov.mlb@gmail.com
with the subject line "Warmer data deletion request". If it concerns analytics, include
the analytics ID shown in Settings → "Request analytics data deletion". We will
process the request within 30 days and confirm by email once complete.
What is deleted and what is retained
- On-device gameplay data (guesses, results, achievements, streaks,
spark balance): deleted immediately on uninstall. Nothing is stored off-device.
- Advertising identifiers (collected by Google AdMob when ads are
shown): deleted upon request as described above; no additional retention period.
- Anonymous analytics/diagnostic events and installation identifiers
(collected by Firebase Analytics and Firebase Remote Config — not tied to your name,
email, or any personal identity): deleted upon request as described above; our
configured analytics retention period otherwise applies (2 months) before automatic
deletion.
- Leaderboard record (weekly score, country, name/handle, anonymous
identifier, stored in Firebase Firestore): deleted immediately when you turn off
"Appear on leaderboards" in Settings, or on request; a record left untouched is also
deleted automatically after about four months.
- Purchase records for in-app purchases are held by Google Play
Billing under Google's own retention policy, not by us — see the
Google Privacy Policy to request
deletion of that data directly from Google.
